Identify the building, unit and required record before searching. Plans, structural calculations and works documents have different purposes; a retrieved plan does not establish the condition of a home.

Scope and arrangements
- BRAVO requires registration and has coverage exclusions, including pre-war buildings, New Territories exempted houses and specified former Housing Authority properties.
- Use must follow the official purpose and terms; inspection and copying are not universally free.
