Identify the scheme year and application stage
The year in a scheme name can differ from its application calendar year. Identify the stage before choosing documents.

Separate the scheme name from the calendar year
The official names remain HOS 2025, GSH 2025 and WSM 2025. Their coordinated 30 April–20 May 2026 application period has closed; a different calendar year does not create a new scheme name or reopen an application.
Application, ballot order, eligibility review and purchase arrangements are different stages. Use the relevant official notice to identify the next step rather than treating one result as completion of the whole process.
Match stages to records
Check the year's official page and the individual notice.
| Item | Record | Follow-up |
|---|---|---|
| Scheme | Official name and year | Use matching-year documents |
| Application | Period and submitted record | Do not treat closed applications as open |
| Review | Notice and requested evidence | Follow the notice's deadline |
| Purchase | Selection or certificate arrangements | Confirm the actual stage |
Example: a 2025 name and a 2026 application period
Label a HOS 2025 file with both the official name and actual document date so a review notice received in 2026 does not enter a different-year file.
Identify the notice governing the next step
- Scheme names retain their official year
- Application and review deadlines are distinct
- Unannounced dates are not invented
