Check building, window and fire-safety notice records
Prepare the notice reference, full address or building name and distinguish individual premises from common parts. The search has coverage and update limits; a missing result does not establish that no notice exists or that its requirements are satisfied.

Buildings Department
Prepare for your task
| Task | Information to have ready |
|---|---|
| Search identifiers | Check the reference, street name and number range, building name and block against existing documents, then select the corresponding search method. |
| Premises and common parts | Identify whether a result concerns individual premises or common parts; one entry's status should not be treated as a conclusion about the whole building. |
| Missing results | Check the Chinese and English address or building name and the recently issued target-building list. Follow unresolved questions up with the owner, owners' corporation or Department. |
| Checking against documents | Compare the result with the notice, professional documents and submission records, retaining the enquiry date and any unresolved points. |
Scope and arrangements
- The official information may not be current in real time, and some earlier fire-safety directions or orders are outside the same search coverage.
- For directions or orders issued by the Fire Services Department, check the issuing authority and official instructions rather than relying on one BD result.
