List and photograph items before packing

List glass, ceramics, mirrors and loose fittings, then confirm suitable packaging for each item with the mover. Link condition photographs to inventory identifiers, showing both the whole item and existing damage.

Distinguish self-packed items from company-packed items. Confirm dismantling, separate fittings and the handover check. Read the actual service terms for damage handling and responsibility.

Example: a mirror and its fittings travel separately

The mover packs the mirror while a family member keeps its fittings in a separate bag. Record both identifiers and custody, then check them together at arrival so the fittings do not disappear from the handover.

Confirm before packing

  • Inventory and pre-move condition photos
  • Packing, dismantling and fittings custody
  • Service and damage-handling terms received
