Separate a WSM approval letter from a purchase certificate

Quota notices, approval letters and purchase certificates are distinct documents; follow the letter's requirements for the next stage.

Identify the stage from the document

HA's White Form secondary-market material describes obtaining the relevant purchase certificate following quota approval. Record the letter date, HA or HKHS flat category and the required next procedure.

Retain the reference, letter and charge notice and check requirements with the relevant issuer. Record the certificate's dates and scope separately for transaction review.

Compare letter and certificate records

Identify the document actually on hand.

Example: only the approval letter is available

If only the letter has arrived, record certificate application as the next step instead of describing a document not yet issued as already held.

Describe the documents accurately

  • Letter and certificate are distinct
  • Issuer scope is checked
  • Deadlines follow the actual document
